Wedding Dress

Picture
Emelia by WToo (a Watters & Watters brand).  I fell in love with this dress.  Initially I was looking at A-lines, but I found this cut much more flattering on me.  I love the lace detail on the waist and the buttons all the way down the back.  It has a short train and a bit of a bubble skirt, which added volume without making the dress long and unwieldy.

Purchased from Aisle Style in Elmhurst, IL.

Veil

Picture
Single layer, chapel-length veil with a thin satin ribbon edge.  I wore the veil during our ceremony and some of the pictures.  I took the veil off for the reception.

Also purchased from Aisle Style in Elmhurst, IL.

Hair Flower Accessory

Picture
I put this silk flower clip in my hair after I took off my veil for the reception.    I was glad not to be dragging my veil around all night and the flower was a great accent in photos.

Purchased from Etsy seller AmieNoelDesigns.

Faux Fur Wrap

Picture
Since I got married in Chicago in December, I bought an ivory faux fur wrap to keep me warm outside.  The seller lined it with fleece for me for extra warmth.

Purchased from Etsy seller SewUDesigns.

Shoes

Picture
Nina Paladin wedding shoes.  I loved these ivory satin shoes with the cute bow.  I wanted closed-toe shoes for a winter wedding and the 2.25" heels were the perfect height for me.

Purchased from Zappos.com

Jewelry

Picture
I wore pearls for my wedding.   I had a matching set of ivory pearl necklace, bracelet, and stud earrings with tiny diamonds attached to the pearls.  The jewelry had a lot of sentimental attachment to me because it had belonged to a close family friend who died several years ago.  I inherited the necklace, my sister inherited the bracelet, and my mom inherited the earrings, so the bracelet and earrings were my "something borrowed" and the necklace was my "something old."

Rings

Picture
My engagement ring is a beautiful diamond solitaire with a platinum band.  My wedding band is a platinum band with small diamonds set halfway around it.  Andrew has a white gold wedding band with a beveled edge.

For the ceremony, I wore my engagement ring on my right hand.  I moved it on top of my wedding band after the ceremony.

Bridesmaid Dresses

Picture
My bridesmaids wore eggplant bridesmaid dresses from Alfred Angelo.  I told my bridesmaids they could pick any dress they wanted from Alfred Angelo as long as it was knee-length and satin.  Each bridesmaid ended up picking out a different style dress.

Purchased from Lily's Bridal in Chicago, IL and Bridal Mansion in Lisle, IL.

Bridesmaid Accessories

Shoes: I asked my bridesmaids to wear black heels in whatever height they wanted.  Most of them wore black satin shoes to coordinate with the dress material.

Jewelry: My bridesmaids wore pearl necklaces that they already owned.  I told them they could wear whatever other jewelry they wanted to coordinate with the pearl necklaces.
